The weekend is over again and this time I had the whole weekend off. We had a nice weekend and kept ourselves busy pretty good. Michael and I had arranged that we would be looking after one of Ineke’s and Sandor’s doggies on Saturday to see how we would like that. They are going to California in May and we might look after Bella, one of their Jack Russell’s, if this dog sitting works out well. They brought her over on Saturday at 10.00am as they were going to Vancouver after that and we would bring Bella back in the evening. Poor Bella felt a little sad when Ineke and Sandor left our place, but then we took out a toy and she seemed to do better after that. Since the weather was fairly nice we decided to walk to Queens Park which is not far from our place. Over there we played with Bella. We took an old tennis ball and boy did she ever like that. We threw the ball and she would go get it for us. It seemed like she would never get tired of that. Then we walked down to the Holland Shop and Safeway for a moment. I waited outside with Bella and quite a few people commented on what a cute dog she was. She sure is adorable.
Het weekend is alweer voorbij en deze keer had ik het hele weekend vrij. We hebben een fijn weekend gehad en hebben ons goed bezig gehouden. Michael en ik hadden met Ineke en Sandor afgesproken dat we op 1 van hun hondjes zouden passen vandaag om te zien hoe dat zou meevallen. Zij gaan in mei naar Californie en misschien dat wij dan op Bella, 1 van hun Jack Russell’s, gaan letten als dit goed meevalt. Ze hadden Belle om 10u ’s morgens naar ons thuis gebracht, zijn waren opweg naar Vancouver en wij zouden haar ’s avonds dan terug brengen. Arme Bella was een beetje triest toen Ineke en Sandor vertrokken zonder haar, maar we gaven haar 1 van haar speeltjes en toen ging het al beter. Omdat het mooi weer was besloten we om naar Queens Park te wandelen, een park niet zover van ons thuis. In het park speelden we met Bella. We hadden een oude tennisbal meegenomen en waw daar was ze gek op. We gooiden de bal en Bella ging die telkens voor ons halen. Het leek wel alsof ze hier nooit moe van zou worden. We zijn dan nog even naar de Holland Shop gewandeld en Safeway. Ik bleef buiten op Michael wachten met Bella en een paar mensen kon het niet laten om te zeggen dat ze zo schattig is. Ze is echt een schatje.

We went home and had some lunch and figured we’d go down to Michael’s parents to show the dog. We stopped at a small park where we could throw the ball around again. Michael threw the ball around because he can throw it much further than I can. I took some photos while Michael was entertaining Bella. Bella really enjoyed having that ball thrown around. I think in the end she was really tired, but she just wanted to keep on going. We got home around 4.00pm and decided to have early dinner. We ate around 4.30pm and Bella had her own dinner too. She finished that pretty quickly, I think she must have been hungry from all that playing. We watched a bit of TV and Bella was lying down between both of us and after awhile she actually fell asleep on the sofa…how cute. We left our place around 6.30pm to bring Bella back. Ineke and Sandor were waiting for us with some yummy pastries for dessert. That was delicious and we had a wonderful evening. We had a great day and really enjoyed having Bella around.
We zijn naar huis gegaan en hebben wat lunch gegeten en we dachten om daarna tot bij Michael zijn ouders te wandelen om Bella te laten zien. We stopten onderweg bij een klein park om nog wat met de bal te gooien. Michael gooide de bal meestal omdat hij een stuk harder kan gooien dan ik. Ik kon dan wat foto’s nemen terwijl Michael Bella bezig hield. Bella rende precies heel graag achter die bal aan. Ik denk dat ze op het laatste wel wat moe was, maar ze wou precies wel door blijven gaan. We zijn rond 16u toch maar naar huis gegaan en hadden ons avondeten wat vroeger. We aten rond 16u30 en Bella had haar eigen avondeten. Ze was er vrij snel mee klaar, ik denk dat ze honger had van al dat spelen. We hebben dan nog wat TV gekeken en Bella lag tussen ons op de zeten, na een tijdje viel ze zelfs in slaap voor een tijdje...hoe schattig. We zijn dan rond 18u30 vertrokken om Bella terug te brengen. Ineke en Sandor waren op ons aan het wachten met heerlijke gebakjes voor dessert. Dat was heel lekker en het was een heel gezellige avond. We hebben een heel fijne dag gehad en hebben genoten van Bella haar gezelschap. Some more photos of our day with Bella
On Sunday morning we went to an antique/collectible show in Vancouver. This is always fun to do as there are always some interesting items there. After lunch we went to do a little shopping and to end the afternoon we went to Burnaby Lake to enjoy the sunset. It was a beautiful sunny day today and about 10 C (50 F) outside. This weather is supposed to last for a few days. Well, that was our weekend…we enjoyed it very much! Op zondag morgen zijn we naar een antiek/verzamel show geweest in Vancouver. Dit is altijd wel eens plezant om te doen en daar is altijd wel wat interessants te zien. Na lunch tijd zijn we dan wat gaan shoppen en tegen het einde van de namiddag zijn we naar Burnaby Lake gegaan om nog wat te genieten van een zonsondergang. Het was een prachtig dag en het was een 10 C buiten. Het weer zou zo nog blijven voor een paar dagen. Zo, dat was ons weekend...we hebben ervan genoten!
