Dreaming of the Canadian Rockies

A short update, although there is not much to report. Last weekend I was only off on Sunday and on that day we did some shopping and went for a walk in our neighbourhood. We had 2 weeks of sunny and summer like weather, but since the beginning of this week we are back into spring weather. Rain, sun, hail, wind, you name it. It is still rainy today, but tomorrow it should slowly start to clear up and the weekend should be sunny. I am off this weekend, so maybe we’ll go somewhere for a nice walk. Our garden is in full bloom with all the rhodos and there are still some pretty tulips blooming.

Een korte update, alhoewel er is niet veel te raporteren. Vorig weekend had ik zondag vrij en we zijn die dag gaan winkelen en zijn ook wat gaan wandelen hier in de buurt. We hadden 2 weken zonnig en zomerachtig weer, maar sinds het begin van deze week hebben we weer lente weer. Regen, zon, hagel, wind, en noem maar op. Vandaag is het ook nog aan het regenen, maar morgen zou het beginnen opklaren en zouden we een zonnig weekend tegemoet gaan. Ik heb het weekend vrij, dus misschien we wel ergens gaan wandelen. Onze tuin is nog steeds in volle bloei met de verschillende rhododendrons en er zijn ook nog een paar tulpen in bloei.

Quietly I am dreaming and hoping for a holiday to the Canadian Rocky Mountains in September. I would really love to go back to the Canadian Rockies for about a week or 10 days because it’s about 700-800km (437mi – 500mi) driving from here. It will depend on how things will go this summer with our roof as Michael will take time off to put a rubber coat on the roof as it was leaking in a few spots. If that works out okay and he has some holidays left we might go for it. Oh my, I am dreaming out loud already! Down here you'll find a few photos that I took in the Canadian Rockies a few years ago and these are some of the areas we want to revisit!

Stiekem droom ik en hoop ik op een vakantie naar de Canadese Rocky Mountains in september. Ik zou zo graag weer eens naar de Canadese Rockies willen gaan voor een week of 10 dagen want het is toch 700-800km rijden van hieruit. Het zal er vanaf hangen hoe alles verloopt deze zomer met ons dak want Michael gaat wat dagen vrij nemen om een rubber laag op het dak te smeren omdat het lekt op een paar plaatsen. Als dit allemaal goed verloopt en hij heeft nog wat vakantie dagen staan dan kunnen we misschien gaan. Oh jee, ik ben nu al hardop aan het dromen! Hier beneden vind je enkele foto's die ik een paar jaar terug in de Canadese Rockies genomen heb, deze plaatsen willen we zeker weer bezoeken!
